Your Responsibilities

- The Global Technical Operations (GTO) division is the cornerstone of QIAGEN's technological and process expertise, providing essential support to our global manufacturing facilities. This role is part of the Process Engineering department within GTO.

- You will take the lead or play a key role in the development and enhancement of intricate, automated manufacturing processes for IVD and Life Science products. This includes designing, planning, and executing process and data evaluations, while documenting findings in a clear and accessible manner.

- Your responsibilities will also involve identifying and evaluating new manufacturing technologies to determine their applicability at QIAGEN. Based on your assessments, you will independently or collaboratively define production equipment specifications and oversee procurement initiatives.

- You will create production strategies and financial analyses based on manufacturing metrics, cost assessments, and evaluations of current production equipment.

- Additionally, you will assist in conducting risk assessments, equipment validation, and qualification processes.

Position Requirements

- A degree in life sciences or engineering, complemented by relevant professional experience, or a pertinent Ph.D. is required. Ideally, you possess three years of experience in the medical, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sectors.

- A strong passion for complex automated manufacturing processes is essential, with experience in sealing, welding, and/or assembly processes of plastic components being advantageous. A hands-on approach to problem-solving in cleanroom environments is preferred.

- Experience in planning process and data analyses is crucial, along with desirable project management skills. Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies is a plus.

- Proficient communication skills in both German and English are necessary for effective collaboration across various departments and levels of the organization.

- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10%) is expected.
