Department Overview
The Customer Project Execution (CPX) team is responsible for the successful installation, commissioning, and handover of wind energy projects to our clients. Collaboration with customers and stakeholders is essential to ensure that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The EPC & Balance of Plant (BOP) division within CPX manages the bidding and construction processes for BOP in wind energy projects. This includes conducting in-house basic engineering, preparing Requests for Quotations for subcontractors, developing technical and economic proposals, and providing technical support during the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct an international team of Project Managers, Specialists, and Engineers, offering guidance, coaching, and performance assessments.
- Strategic Planning: Establish strategic objectives for BOP construction that align with overall project goals, collaborating with internal teams such as Bid Management, Contract Management, and Procurement.
- BOP Performance Oversight: Manage BOP performance, compliance, and cost monitoring, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource management in partnership with suppliers.
- Sales and Contract Negotiation: Facilitate the delivery of BOP sales packages and engage in contract negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and clients in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the BOP construction process, verifying compliance with project specifications.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction, including potential delays or material shortages.
- Contingency Strategies: Develop contingency plans to effectively address unforeseen challenges during BOP construction.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in business or engineering is essential.
- The ideal candidate will possess extensive management experience, particularly in complex EPC project environments.
- Demonstrated experience in an international context is required.
- Proficient in managing intricate contracts.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and lead complex, cross-functional teams effectively.
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism and can engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven capability to drive change management initiatives, fostering the adoption of new processes and industry best practices.
