Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated System Architect with a strong interest in Automotive Electronics, eager to shape the future of in-cabin user experiences.
As the Principal E/E Software Architect, you will possess comprehensive expertise in vehicle E/E software systems, along with a broad understanding of various domains. Within our E/E Architecture Lab, you will lead the exploration of software architecture trends and technologies on a global scale, engaging with key clients and suppliers. Collaborating with fellow software architects, you will design innovative E/E software architectures and product concepts. Your focus will include the Audio domain, working closely with product lines and system integration teams to create a cohesive user experience within the HARMAN AutoOne product engineering fleet.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for full vehicle E/E software architecture, analyzing future trends and developing strategic technology roadmaps and product concepts. Act as the Software Architect specializing in the Audio domain. Collaborate with product line SMEs, clients, and suppliers to identify and establish industry-leading E/E software architecture design principles and best practices. Innovate E/E and Audio domain software architecture for the HARMAN AutoOne reference vehicle in close partnership with product line architects and E/E Architecture Lab domain experts. Support analysis of technology partnerships and mergers & acquisitions.Qualifications Required
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A robust background (8+ years) in Automotive software architecture and Audio systems. Core expertise across all E/E software architecture domains, including vehicle-level system partitioning, function allocations, and system integration. Proven technical leadership abilities with a talent for motivating and inspiring teams. Solid understanding of Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO21434) standards. Proficiency in UML and relevant tools. Familiarity with operating systems such as Android, Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR, etc. Knowledge of Automotive service-oriented architectures (SoA) like SOME/IP, DDS, etc. Deep understanding of Automotive audio interfaces, amplification, routing, equalization, sound tuning, beamforming, directional audio, noise cancellation, sound generation, microphone systems, and speaker systems. Expertise in audio processing using various algorithms on System on Chips (SoCs) and Digital Signal Processors (DSPs). Experience in developing audio concepts across diverse domains such as tuner, media, navigation, telephony, and safety-critical applications. Proven track record in project execution, product innovation, and a solid grasp of product management, alongside hands-on experience in vehicle-level System Integration. Experience in automotive production software development and strong programming skills in C/C++.What We Provide
