As a **Senior Engineer** specializing in **Functional Safety**, you will take on a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the **lead engineer** for Functional Safety in accordance with **ISO 26262** and **SOTIF** as per **ISO 21448**.
- Planning and overseeing safety-related activities to ensure effective project execution.
- Developing essential work products related to functional safety, such as **Item Definition**, **Safety Plans**, **Hazard Analysis**, and **Risk Assessments**.
- Providing expert consulting on functional safety processes to our clients.
- Leading projects within the security domain and managing international project teams.
- Assessing project inquiries and aiding in cost estimation and bidding procedures.
- Mentoring junior engineers, sharing your expertise, and enhancing our security competence center.
- Possibility of advancement to a **team leader** position.
Requirements:
- A **Bachelor's** or **Master's degree** in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of **ISO 26262**, experience with **SOTIF/ISO**, and several years of practical experience in functional safety engineering.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 work products, along with a solid understanding of automotive functions and development processes.
- A general comprehension of methods and tools utilized in automotive security development.
- A safety-oriented mindset, ability to work independently, and strong communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in **German** is essential.
