Embedded Software Engineer Opportunity

At Optimus Search, we're seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Darmstadt. As part of our well-established division, you'll have the chance to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the advancement of our industry-leading solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software for advanced Machine Vision Solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement software platform solutions
  • Evaluate and validate emerging embedded processor technologies
  • Coordinate with hardware development teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Leverage your expertise in image processing for embedded systems
  • Implement standardized software interfaces in alignment with industry best practices

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • Proven experience in software development for embedded systems, with a focus on hardware-related aspects
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded (Linux) operating systems
  • Additional knowledge in areas such as Linux Kernel Configuration or Development, Image Processing product development, or FPGA/Real-time software development is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, V-Model, and Software Deployment practices
  • Strong commitment to producing high-quality software solutions that are readable, maintainable, and testable
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken German and English
