Technology Transformation Leader

Job Description

At METRO, we are seeking a highly skilled Technology Lead to drive our S/4HANA Finance Transformation project. This is a key leadership role that requires a deep understanding of S/4HANA, ERP systems, and the broader IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development: Develop a comprehensive technology roadmap that includes ERP preparation and implementation, focusing on architecture and system aspects.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead technical cross-topics teams, working closely with Project and Business Lead and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of the project plan.
  • Technology Implementation: Oversee the global rollout of the S/4HANA template, ensuring each country rollout aligns with business requirements and delivers expected value.
  • Vendor and Architecture Oversight: Collaborate with System Integrators to assess target architecture, evaluating current vendor/system integrator partnerships.
  • Risk and Dependency Management: Manage technical standards, enterprise architecture, and data management, overseeing identity and access management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain continuous communication with program stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring project alignment with business goals.
  • Value Assurance: Ensure technology implementation amplifies business value, focusing on operational effectiveness and asset efficiency.
Requirements
  • Expertise in S/4HANA and ERP Systems: Profound knowledge (10+ years) of S/4HANA Finance or SAP ECC systems, with the ability to lead large-scale transformations.
  • Strong Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leadership positions in similar environments, capable of managing diverse teams and multiple country rollouts simultaneously.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop strategic plans and make decisions that align with the project's goals and the organization's long-term vision.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to oversee implementation, identify risks, and provide solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in engaging with and managing the expectations of various stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
  • Experience: Proven track record in managing technology transformations, preferably in retail or consumer goods industries.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, with certification(s) in SAP S/4HANA being highly advantageous.
  • Languages: Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Living experience in Europe and working experience in a European-based company.
Working Conditions

The Technology Lead may be required to travel to rollout countries or other locations as project needs dictate.
