The eBay 3PM team, an AI startup acquired by eBay, focuses on leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to ensure compliance within the eBay marketplace, addressing various regulations and brand protection needs. The platform team operates as a unit within the eBay 3PM team, collaborating closely with fields such as GCP, Hybrid Cloud, Security, and Machine Learning.
The eBay 3PM team tackles complex and unique challenges using machine learning and systematic thinking approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to integrate security best practices into infrastructure management and DevOps workflows.
- Assist in planning and executing infrastructure migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain high availability and performance.
- Implement and uphold DevSecOps practices to seamlessly incorporate security measures into the development lifecycle, addressing security vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with development teams to embed DevOps methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support the team in managing and optimizing infrastructure across Google Cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure management, particularly within Google Cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong understanding and advocacy for DevOps practices and their significance to team efficiency and project success.
- Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and their application in infrastructure management.
- Experience with infrastructure migrations and knowledge of best practices to minimize risk and downtime.
