Business Unit:
This role is situated within our Safety Business Unit, dedicated to fostering safer, more sustainable, and inclusive industries and transportation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting System Safety Assessment activities for military aircraft systems, supporting certification phases
- Generating and updating assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) for design modifications impacting system architecture in line with required safety standards
- Performing Risk Analyses in accordance with applicable guidelines and standards to facilitate ongoing aircraft development
- Executing analyses of Common-Cause risks (including Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis)
- Identifying specific safety requirements for system developments or modifications concerning hardware and software
- Establishing evidence requests (tests, simulations, analyses) and procedures for ground and aircrew operations
- Managing integrity requirements at the interface with interacting systems
- Overseeing inputs and outputs related to interfacing technical domains and technologies (processes, maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance, and quality)
- Reviewing and approving supplier data regarding safety and reliability, and generating System Safety Assessment documentation based on traceable results and evidence for Type Certificate acquisition
Qualifications:
- A completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant knowledge and experience in the outlined responsibilities
- Background in System Safety Engineering within the aviation sector
- Advanced understanding of Aircraft Systems, particularly Helicopters
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a target-oriented approach
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Ability to manage multiple Systems Safety tasks concurrently
- A collaborative team player who is organized and self-sufficient with effective communication skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English
