Position Overview

Latham & Watkins LLP is a prestigious global law firm recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation in legal services.

The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking a dedicated Senior Analyst – Compliance to play a crucial role in our compliance and risk management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the firm's regulatory compliance and risk management programs, focusing on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions.
  • Manage the Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Client (KYC) documentation processes across multiple offices.
  • Conduct in-depth corporate research and collaborate with legal teams to ensure timely documentation collection.
  • Analyze complex compliance issues and provide insights to the Compliance Team and firm management.
  • Review and enhance compliance policies and procedures in line with German and global regulations.
  • Assist Compliance Team lawyers in preparing Risk Assessments and Annual Reports, and engage with AML Officers.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for new Compliance Team members.
  • Foster strong professional relationships across the organization, effectively communicating with lawyers and support staff.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in AML and/or sanctions compliance within a law firm, banking institution, or similar professional services environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
