Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Tester to join our Clearing IT department, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our clearing systems. As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for designing, preparing, and executing tests for our business services, as well as maintaining and enhancing our test automation suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and execute tests for business services defined in functional specifications
- Maintain and enhance test automation suite based on functional requirements and low-level technical design
- Implement test automation artifacts with consideration of dynamic data sets and transactional data
- Test complex functionalities manually or via designed simulator tools
- Perform various tests depending on fix and delivery schedules
- Document, track, and retest defects in software components
- Collaborate with functional specification team, development teams, and stakeholders to check expectations and findings
- Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation and follow best practices
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipeline
- Identify potential improvements and optimizations in test automation and implement measures
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Requirements
- University degree or higher technical degree in an IT-related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on functional and automation testing
- In-depth knowledge of securities clearing services, including CCP business
- Detailed knowledge of SWIFT ISO15022/ISO20022 messaging
- Hands-on experience with Microservices Architectures, Red Hat OpenShift, Cloud Technologies, and automating API testing and AMQP-based messages testing
- Proficiency in market-standard test automation tools and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with software test automation through scripting languages
- Strong experience with version control systems (Git) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins)
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and business-driven, test-driven development models
- Team player with excellent communication skills, proactive communication, and continuous self-assessment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural international team environment
- High commitment and motivation, attentive to details, and commitment to quality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Business fluent in written and spoken English, German would be an advantage
