Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pipe and Canal Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Stadt Augsburg. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting specialists in site management, working in a team to carry out technical tasks, and securing the construction site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting specialists in site management to ensure efficient and safe operations
- Working in a team to carry out technical tasks, including digging holes, laying out hoses, and flushing channels
- Securing the construction site to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
- Preparing for the structural repair of damaged areas, including excavating or exposing defective sewer pipes
- Providing tools and equipment on construction sites to support team members
- Removing residues, deposits, or contaminants from the sewer system to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assisting in the operation of the suction and flushing vehicle to ensure efficient and effective cleaning
- Cleaning and maintaining vehicles and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
- Assisting in the maintenance of the operational premises and outdoor facilities to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements:
- Relevant manual work experience in the field of pipe, canal, and industrial services or in the construction industry
- Ability in the German language, written and spoken
Desired Skills:
- Technical understanding and manual dexterity to perform tasks safely and efficiently
- Basic PC skills to support team members with administrative tasks
- Class B driver's license to operate company vehicles
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently to achieve goals and objectives
- Careful, structured, and flexible work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Previous experience in pipe, canal, and industrial services or in structural canal maintenance to bring valuable skills and knowledge to the role
