Operations Chapter Manager

Position Overview: In the role of Operations Chapter Manager at Commerzbank AG Deutschland, you will become an integral part of a dedicated team responsible for the management of our securities applications. Ensuring operational stability, designing new processes, and fostering innovation within the operations domain are core aspects of our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: You will provide disciplinary leadership to your assigned team members, being available for all professional and personal matters.
  • Coaching and Support: Your role involves guiding, coaching, and supporting your team to achieve peak performance.
  • Authenticity and Transparency: You will engage authentically with your team, shaping their development paths and recognizing as well as nurturing their potential.
  • Innovative Support Structure: You will enhance our AO support with fresh ideas, ensuring comprehensive management of our systems and processes while fostering an environment where team members can contribute their own ideas.
  • Resource Management: You will be responsible for providing the necessary personnel in terms of quality and quantity for various cells, maintaining continuous communication with Product Owners regarding their staffing needs and essential workflows.
  • Agile Methodology: You will actively embody agile working methods and demonstrate a strong customer and service orientation.
  • Productivity and Quality Assurance: You will ensure and continuously optimize productivity, efficiency, and work quality within the chapter.
  • Cross-Cluster Collaboration: You will participate in the cross-cluster management of AO support, driving forward the future-oriented professional and methodological qualification in your area of responsibility, as well as creating conditions for knowledge transfer and potentially taking on training projects, speaking engagements, and mentorship roles.
  • Talent Development: You will actively contribute to talent development within the cluster.
  • Technical Responsibilities: In addition to your role as a disciplinary leader, you will undertake the technical responsibilities of the Engineer Application Operation functions in alignment with the chapter's focus.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in a project management or leadership position.
  • Proven IT affinity, with experience in IT system monitoring and familiarity with mainframe and/or decentralized systems being advantageous.
  • Knowledge in the areas of CI/CD and DevOps is desirable.
  • A strong interest in initiating and supporting change processes.
  • Assertiveness combined with diplomatic skills.
  • High problem-solving capabilities and decisiveness.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong comprehension abilities.
  • A high degree of willingness to embrace change.
  • Strong social competence and empathy, along with a pronounced initiative and conflict resolution skills.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
