Position: Senior Consultant (w/m/d) Operations - Focus on Sustainability & Decarbonization in Procurement

Location: Multiple locations in Germany

The contemporary procurement landscape is characterized by fluctuating market conditions, multifaceted supply chain risks, evolving consumer behaviors, and changing societal and regulatory frameworks. Within our Procurement & Supplier Management Business Unit, we assist our clients in navigating the transformation towards a modern and competitive procurement framework. This encompasses strategic considerations regarding procurement's future direction, risk management, sustainability in supply chains, as well as category and supplier management, extending to implementation within procurement organizations, processes, and IT systems.

Your perspectives with us:

  • Value-Driven Consulting: Leverage your conceptual knowledge and implementation capabilities to enhance our clients' success. You will engage and provide counsel at all organizational levels, from executive leadership to operational staff.
  • Project Management (End-to-End): Oversee diverse and challenging projects in Procurement & Supplier Management, with a particular emphasis on Sustainability & Decarbonization, from initial conception through to execution.
  • Sustainability & Decarbonization in Procurement: Utilize your expertise in integrating sustainability into procurement operating models to create innovative and customized solutions for our clients. Lead initiatives such as maturity assessments, Sustainability Roadmaps, CO2 footprint analysis, decarbonization strategies, and risk evaluations within categories and supply chains.
  • Driving Sustainable Growth: You are committed to sustainable development and work collaboratively with our clients to achieve this objective. Additionally, you will further develop client relationships and, depending on your experience, independently secure new projects and establish new connections.
  • Leadership Opportunities: Based on your background, we may assign initial leadership responsibilities within our teams.

Your contribution to our team:

  • Professional Expertise: You possess two to five years of experience in areas such as CSR/Sustainability, sustainable supply chain management, risk management, and decarbonization, ideally with knowledge of corporate due diligence.
  • Analytical Skills: You are familiar with analysis methods, planning, decision-making, and facilitation techniques. You communicate effectively in both German and English and enjoy engaging new clients through persuasive presentations.
  • Academic Qualifications: With a completed degree in Sustainable Management, Environmental Engineering, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Law, or related fields, you bring a solid theoretical foundation.
