Responsible Engineer for Physical Architecture

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Architecture and Integration Expert to join our team at Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth, Germany.
This role is part of our Integration & Standardization department, dedicated to Physical Architecture & Integration Activities. As a Physical Architecture and Integration Expert, you will be responsible for managing the integration process of the complete vehicle to achieve the best integration results, taking into account all functional and physical constraints of all systems, industrialization constraints, and maintainability.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the integration process of the complete vehicle to achieve the best integration results.
- Be accountable for integration maturity within the development milestones, respecting constraints coming from physical interfaces, clearance, thermal environment, stress, materials, weight, and balance, and other engineering domains.
- Propose integration solutions to solve transfunctional integration issues, conduct trade-offs, and arbitrate and escalate as appropriate.
- Work with the project team to anticipate risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Use your facilitation and negotiation skills to ensure successful integration.
- Verify the vehicle integration maturity against the given multi-system and overall vehicle requirements.
- Apply the relevant processes, methods, and tools to ensure successful integration.
Requirements:
- Completed degree in Engineering.
- Several years of experience in system integration in the aerospace industry or extensive experience in system integration in another field.
- Basic experience in Project Management.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5/VPM/Windchill.
- Open-minded, strong negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Language Skills: English negotiation level; German and French desirable.
