Strategic Procurement Manager

The Global Non-Trade Procurement team at adidas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our team. As a strategic business partner, you will play a key role in delivering value to the company by driving opportunities beyond sustainable negotiation success.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the implementation of procurement best practices within respective categories, including execution of procurement activities, support for category strategies, and delivery of committed annual Non-Trade Procurement ambitions.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for a dedicated adidas business area in context of all Non-Trade Procurement related topics, actively partnering up with stakeholders to build business relationships and drive demand intake.
- Lead and/or execute medium-sized sourcing projects, engage with stakeholders and suppliers, perform contract administration activities, and negotiate medium-sized contracts.
- Drive and lead the development of global strategies for medium-sized categories, perform market research, follow-up with business stakeholders, and organize category council meetings.
- Manage and develop teams, including recruiting, allocating work, monitoring workload, and providing clear direction and targets.
- Act as a Point of contact for assigned key suppliers, lead supplier development activities, set-up cross-functional review meetings, and develop and nurture relationships with suppliers.
- Advanced knowledge in strategic sourcing and procurement methodologies, business partnering, and category management.
- Experience across indirect spend categories, strong knowledge of procurement tools and data, and proven expertise in streamlining and improving procurement processes and systems.
- Strong track record of delivering sustainable savings with bottom-line impact, strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Ability to operate at pace, respond positively to change, and work independently with virtual teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ARIBA Sourcing, fluent in English, and additional language skills are advantageous.
- A degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on business, economics, finance, procurement, or legal, or comparable professional education, and at least 5+ years of working experience in a procurement role.
