Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Director – Head of Architecture and Technology to spearhead and enhance the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function at Teva Pharmaceuticals. This prominent position requires collaboration with IT leadership, stakeholders, and delivery teams to shape Teva's strategic direction through innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Management of EA Practice:
- Develop and lead the EA practice and team, crafting value propositions and service offerings.
- Design an effective EA operating model that balances enterprise risk with agility.
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Work alongside IT and business stakeholders to formulate and execute strategic initiatives.
- Align IT and business objectives to ensure successful strategy execution.
Facilitation of Innovation:
- Identify and evaluate emerging technological innovations and trends.
- Implement new technologies and conduct trials to integrate successful innovations into the organization.
Building Relationships:
- Position the EA function as a trusted advisory within Teva.
- Manage cross-functional relationships and provide strategic guidance.
Management of IT Portfolio:
- Support the modernization of the IT portfolio and development of roadmaps.
- Ensure alignment with EA while optimizing technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, system analysis, business, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT and architectural roles within medium to large organizations.
- A minimum of 4 years in a leadership position, such as head of Enterprise Architecture or Chief Architect, managing an EA team.
- Extensive experience across multiple disciplines, including business, solution, or technical architecture, application development, middleware, data analysis, and cloud operations.
- Proven expertise in public cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS, as well as experience with Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
- Strong background in technology evaluation and collaboration with global tech vendors and startups.
- Experience in applications portfolio management.
Essential Skills
- Understanding of business models, operating models, financial analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
- Familiarity with SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, microservices, and predictive analytics.
- Knowledge of information management practices, agile methodologies, and EA frameworks.
- Ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
- Innovative and collaborative mindset with a vendor-neutral approach.
