Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for procuring supplies and equipment for the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Supply Branch within the Business Operations and Integration (BOI) Division.

• Procure supplies and equipment using informal purchasing methods, including Blanket Purchase Agreements, Government Purchase Card (GPC), Delivery Orders against Indefinite Delivery Type Contracts, and General Services Administration.
• Prepare tax relief forms (Abwicklungsscheine) and ensure accurate documentation of all important information.
• Make purchases up to $25,000.00 based on authority delegated by the Contracting Officer, individual contracts, and the GPC Agency Program Coordinator.
• Request quotes for purchases over $3,500.00 from at least three vendors, as required.
• Determine the most advantageous procurement method, including Delivery Orders and GPC.
• Consult with vendors to determine prices, availability of items, and delivery time.
• Ensure specifications of items are adequate, complete, and precise.
• Translate documents and other information from English to German or vice versa.

• English Language Proficiency level B1 and German Language Proficiency level B1 required.
• Office automation skills are required.
• German driver's license class B required.
