Position Summary:
We invite you to join our dynamic team at Spire Global as a Senior RF, mixed-signal, and analog IC design engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the development of an innovative massive beamforming receiver, focusing on achieving exceptional performance while minimizing power usage. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to influence technological progress for satellite safety systems in vital infrastructure.
Key Duties:
- Oversee the design and creation of RF mixed-signal electronics for a cutting-edge massive beamforming receiver.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to establish system requirements and architecture.
- Lead architectural choices and provide technical guidance in advanced RF technologies.
- Conduct analysis, simulation, and characterization of RF circuits to enhance performance metrics.
- Plan and implement qualification testing for the receiver.
- Remain informed about the latest advancements in RF technology and contribute innovative concepts.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in RF and mixed-signal design is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of RF, mixed-signal, and analog IC design, with experience in various RF components and circuits.
- Demonstrated success in delivering intricate RF designs from initial concept to production.
- Experience in low-power and ultra-low voltage design techniques.
- Proficient in RF simulation tools and testing apparatus.
- Data-driven approach to work.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with RF system architectures and beamforming methodologies.
- Experience with high-speed ADCs and FPGA technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages and automation techniques.
Work Environment:
This role at Spire Global operates under a hybrid work model, necessitating a minimum of three days per week in the office. Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required.
