Position Overview:

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a proficient SharePoint Developer to enhance operational efficiency within our program team. The role involves the centralization of document management and collaboration to assist the Government in organizing, managing, and sharing vital documents and records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize effective communication skills to gather and clarify client requirements.
  • Design, develop, configure, and deploy Microsoft Office SharePoint Server applications encompassing document management, automated workflows, and collaboration tools.
  • Plan and manage SharePoint Site Architecture, configuration, and publishing across essential sites while addressing technical and user support challenges.
  • Provide informed recommendations to enhance site architecture, security, and software implementation.
  • Develop and deploy SharePoint applications and enhancements within a virtual cloud environment.
  • Create custom web parts, macros, templates, and integrate enterprise content into SharePoint.
  • Develop SharePoint solutions using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XSL, and XML for custom solutions, including complex workflows.
  • Automate business processes through SharePoint Forms and workflows.
  • Produce PowerShell scripts to streamline tasks, generate reports, and resolve issues.
  • Ensure security and protect system data integrity throughout the implementation process.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Security Clearance Required: Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience: 7-9 years of relevant experience, including direct SharePoint experience
  • Skills: Familiarity with SharePoint tools such as ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms; experience with SharePoint 2016 and transitioning to Office 365.
  • Certifications: 8570 IAT-Level II certification; CompTIA Security+
  • Ability to obtain German TESA certification
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365
