Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer (f/m/d), you will:

  • Design and integrate application software and system components utilizing Java/JEE.
  • Incorporate third-party systems and external interfaces alongside custom Java modules.
  • Analyze, conceptualize, implement, and deploy FirstSpirit WCMS solutions using Java and contemporary web technologies.
  • Enhance and optimize FirstSpirit templates to facilitate content creation for editors.
  • Customize and develop FirstSpirit modules tailored to client specifications.
  • Ensure the execution of processes and maintain error-free operations, including Docker containers and cloud computing.
  • Provide guidance to clients and internal project managers on technological challenges related to the content management system.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop effective solutions.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical qualification with substantial professional experience.
  • Proven experience in implementing Java Enterprise CMS solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design and design patterns.
  • Experience in designing and developing complex web applications.
  • Proficient in current web technologies, including web services, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Familiarity with toolchains such as Git/Gitlab, Jira/Confluence, and build tools (e.g., Gulp, Bower).
  • Strong analytical skills, service orientation, and reliability in meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • A passion for development and teamwork.

Desirable:

  • Experience integrating third-party systems within FirstSpirit.
  • Practical experience with SCRUM methodologies.
