Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Key Management Systems (KMS) to enhance our Global Product Cybersecurity team. This role is pivotal in establishing secure interfaces for provisioning and updates of our embedded products and platforms.
In this position, you will contribute to foundational security efforts, focusing on the development of security infrastructure services that facilitate secure device provisioning and lifecycle management for the System-on-Chip (SoC) Integrated Root of Trust (RoT), ensuring the integrity of trusted platform elements.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Automation and Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) teams to integrate proactive product security measures into our development and maintenance processes.
- Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of security infrastructure services related to key management, manufacturing provisioning, certificate authority, and code signing.
- Direct the creation and development of APIs, protocols, and services for the enumeration, configuration, and management of platform assets.
- Formulate policies and procedures for key generation and management.
- Work with manufacturing partners to install, troubleshoot, and resolve security provisioning issues.
- Collaborate with software teams to develop components necessary for hosting services and any required SDKs for partners.
- Oversee the daily operations of security infrastructure services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience in a development role with a focus on security.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++/Java or equivalent, as well as Python or similar scripting languages.
- Experienced full-stack developer with a background in fault-tolerant systems and security.
- Familiarity with hardware security module (HSM) integration and development for code signing services, secure payload decryption, certificate signing, and device ID generation.
- Ability to analyze complex vehicle systems, assess their attack surfaces, and prioritize potential vulnerabilities.
- Experience integrating remote systems with automatic test equipment (ATE).
- Operational expertise in deploying and maintaining HSMs, code-signing, access control management, web services deployment, software upgrades, and CI/CD processes.
- Understanding of security flows, key generation, secure key delivery, access control tokens, and other secure processes.
- Knowledge of cryptographic primitives such as keys, signatures, and certificates.
- Experience with VPN, SSL, and secure connection programming and configuration.
- Proficient in German language.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- Innovative mindset with a passion for challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive cybersecurity, preferably from Tier-1 or OEM.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization, microservices, ECS, Kubernetes, and CloudHSM.
- Over 6 years of experience in encryption and key management security.
- Background in IoT/Embedded systems security engineering.
- Active engagement in conferences, consortiums, CTFs, or contributions to cybersecurity publications and repositories.
