Operations Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Operations Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Road Transit Hub Wiesbaden. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated package handling system and building services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automated package handling systems and building services to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and fault-finding to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure high availability of technical systems through proactive maintenance and repair.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks on powered conveyor systems and measurement and weighing equipment for packages and freight.
  • Independently resolve technical issues with automated package handling systems and building services.
  • Work in rotating shifts and on-call duty as required.

Requirements:

  • Completed (IHK recognized) apprenticeship as a Mechatronics Technician (m/w/d), Electrician (m/w/d), or equivalent qualification.
  • At least two years of experience in the relevant field.
  • Good knowledge of building and facility management.
  • Ability to conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting to ensure high system availability.
  • Proficient in using a PC.
  • Experience in performing electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks on powered conveyor systems and measurement and weighing equipment for packages and freight.
  • Experience in independently resolving technical issues with automated package handling systems and building services.
  • Willingness to work in rotating shifts and on-call duty.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SPS-based control systems.
  • Experience in managing external contractors.
  • Basic English language skills.
  • Experience in performing shutdown procedures (LoTo) for maintenance activities.
  • Experience in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to implement maintenance plans and repairs.
