Energy Management Software Developer

Rudolf Hörmann GmbH & Co. KG is a leading software startup in the energy management sector, seeking a skilled Energy Management Software Developer to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Energy Management Software Developer to further develop and implement our innovative energy management software solution. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematical modeling, simulation, and optimization, as well as excellent programming skills in Python, C++, or C#.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mathematical models for optimizing energy consumption and resource utilization in industrial companies
  • Create and adapt optimization algorithms to establish new application areas within our energy management software
  • Improve and automate existing energy management processes in our software
  • Develop and apply simulation models to analyze various energy demand scenarios and evaluate their impact on costs and resources
  • Collaborate closely with our software developers and management to integrate optimization solutions
Requirements
  • Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field
  • Solid knowledge in mathematical modeling, simulation, and optimization (e.g., MILP)
  • Excellent programming skills, preferably in Python, C++, or C#
  • Ideal knowledge in energy efficiency, energy management, and sustainability
