About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Hamburg. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our Squish product users, reproducing problems, and delivering effective solutions. You will collaborate with colleagues and developers to address technical issues, file bug reports, and contribute to documentation updates, driving process improvement and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support to users of our Squish products, including GUI automation/testing, code coverage, and reporting, via our text/email-based support system.
  • Discuss technical topics and reported issues with team colleagues and product software developers, typically in our text-based chat/communication system, and file internal bug reports on behalf of users.
  • Contribute to internal and external documentation by creating/updating internal/external knowledge base articles and submitting change requests for documentation.
  • Participate in our continuous quest to improve our work-related processes.

About You

  • You have experience with writing GUI applications, software development, and related tools/processes, including version control, code review, bug ticketing, and CI/CD.
  • You have an affinity with modern IT and technology.
  • You possess a continuous, self-motivated learning approach.
  • You have firm, technical experience with Linux, macOS, or Windows, including the use of command line shells, shell/batch scripts, PowerShell, and WSH.
  • You have good experience with a common scripting language, such as JavaScript, Python, or similar.
  • You have advanced English communication skills, both verbal and written, as English is our corporate language.

Desirable Skills

  • You enjoy and thrive on helping others with software IT problems.
  • You have a desire to understand modern software and all problems surrounding their use.
  • You have hands-on experience with common tools like Git, Jenkins, or similar.
  • You have experience in any kind of customer service.
