Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and manage fully automated production systems in accordance with established protocols.
- Oversee process engineering functions for the production of medical devices and patient care kits, from initial design through to full-scale manufacturing.
- Innovate and enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth product transitions and process validations.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives by applying relevant methodologies and principles.
- Analyze production metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and implement effective solutions to boost process performance and yield.
- Create and uphold process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and validation protocols.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for process-related challenges and execute corrective measures.
- Engage in equipment selection, qualification, and technology transfer processes.
- Provide technical leadership to project teams.
- Review and approve concepts, specifications, and documentation within project scopes.
- Supervise the series production of assemblies, focusing on disposable technologies.
- Maintain technical master data within the relevant systems.
- Address quality issues through corrective and preventive actions, including fault analysis and documentation.
- Assist in the qualification and validation of both new and existing production processes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is characterized by a strong drive, a positive attitude, and a high level of energy. You are a collaborative team player with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
- A degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Manufacturing Technology, Medical Engineering, Plastic Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, process optimization, lean methodologies, and quality management systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an engineer in the healthcare industry.
- Proven experience as a project manager for development and optimization initiatives.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing and development of medical devices is a plus.
- Desirable background in Industrial Engineering and production process optimization.
- Knowledge of project management and contemporary project planning techniques.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance standards related to medical device manufacturing.
- Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis, and manufacturing systems.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effectiveness in cross-functional teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English, written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel for project-related activities.
