Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Linguist to join our team as a Transcreation Expert. As a key member of our localization team, you will be responsible for translating, transcreating, proofreading, and localizing app and marketing content, as well as cooking recipes and maintaining our cooking term bases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and transcreate app and marketing content, including UI and marketing materials
  • Translate cooking recipes and maintain our cooking term bases
  • Provide linguistic and cultural insights to ensure accurate and culturally relevant content
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure high-quality translations and transcreations

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in US English and full professional working proficiency in German
  • Translation qualification with 3-5 years of translation experience
  • Ability to translate and transcreate marketing content, including UI and marketing materials
  • Excellent grammar and writing style, with a keen eye for detail
  • Familiarity with nutrition and health topics, as well as cultural awareness for the locale you'll be responsible for
  • Good time management and versatility, with the ability to work with tight deadlines
