Position Overview
We are seeking a Research Scientist to become a vital member of our Automation and Data Solutions team within the Research and Development Department. This group is pivotal in creating, assessing, and sustaining laboratory automation methodologies and tailored data management systems, engaging with various teams and projects across R&D.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain automated workflows in collaboration with R&D scientists.
- Plan and execute scientific campaigns, ensuring technical and scientific integrity.
- Document method protocols (non-GxP) accurately.
- Act as a liaison between data generation and processing.
- Provide technical support for in-house automation systems.
- Strategically plan scientific developments and adapt existing systems to meet evolving needs.
- Engage in conferences and workshops to foster long-term growth within the team.
Candidate Profile
- PhD or extensive hands-on experience in automation and data management.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for innovative and technical problem-solving.
- Experience in developing novel screening methodologies.
- Technical proficiency with liquid handling systems, particularly Tecan, for mid- to high-throughput screening in biotechnology.
- Ability to write adaptable scripts for liquid handling platforms (primarily Tecan Freedom EVOware).
- Willingness to adapt to the dynamic requirements of liquid handling systems in an R&D environment.
- Familiarity with programming languages (VBA, VBS, Python) is advantageous.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
