Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at Tessenderlo Group. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of our production departments, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational and technical functions, ensuring compliance with quality parameters, delivery capabilities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate production scheduling to achieve S&OP planning goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Plant Director to drive plant results and optimize operational performance.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team through education, training, coaching, and teamwork.
  • Drive and support the development of a safe working environment and environmental activities through committees, audits, procedures, and training.
  • Foster a culture of customer-centricity, continuous improvement, empowerment, and teamwork.
  • Identify opportunities for quality and cost savings.
  • Participate in international projects and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and hygiene regulations (ISO, GMP, Food Defense, Food Fraud, Change-Management).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Proven experience in production management, preferably in a mature production organization (food, pharma, chemical, automotive, etc.) with solid and proven processes.
  • Good understanding of chemistry and ability to troubleshoot on the shop floor if necessary.
  • Outstanding people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams through change processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build confidence and trust amongst teammates, peers, subordinates, superiors, and unions.
  • German mother tongue and business fluency in English.
  • Ability to initiate change processes, conceptual skills, and inspire others with ideas.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems ISO 9001, HACCP, ISO 22000 & ISO 50001 GMP standards, Food fraud, and Food defense.
