Main Responsibilities

The Scholarship Coordinator will be responsible for managing all scholarships and financial aid programs under the purview of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. This includes monitoring and coordinating scholarship programs in relation to financial aid and college policies, as well as assisting with the implementation of policies stemming from new scholarship programs, federal and state regulations updates to ensure compliance.

Key Duties
  • Manage all scholarship and financial aid programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Student Financial Services with monitoring and coordinating scholarship programs.
  • Act as liaison to scholarship organizations and provide counseling for students regarding scholarships and other financial aid.
  • Maintain statistical data and letters pertaining to scholarship, consumer information, and office procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cross-training activities for the financial aid staff.
  • Supervise Workstudy and OPS workers, and represent the Director of Financial Aid as needed.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in financial aid, registration, counseling, and/or veteran's affairs are required. A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

Knowledge and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional people skills, knowledge of Federal, State and private scholarships, and knowledge of State Board rules for community colleges. They will also have knowledge of Florida State Laws, State Board rules, as they apply to scholarships and financial aid, and knowledge of TCC foundation scholarships and grants.
