Position: Environmental Sustainability Officer

We are seeking a committed Environmental Sustainability Officer to enhance our initiatives in ecological responsibility and resource efficiency. In this role, you will spearhead the formulation and execution of a comprehensive sustainability framework, assess our environmental impact, and provide strategic counsel to upper management on sustainability-related challenges.

• Formulate and execute a sustainability framework, focusing on greenhouse gas reduction and effective waste management strategies.
• Serve as a liaison for both internal and external parties, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on matters related to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and resource efficiency.
• Oversee and improve our environmental and resource management systems, including conducting certification evaluations.
• Design and implement various communication strategies, such as sustainability documentation and educational workshops.
• Evaluate the environmental impact of our offerings and propose enhancements for energy efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Completed technical or scientific degree, preferably in environmental studies, ecology, or sustainability.
• Previous experience in sustainability oversight is advantageous.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards and frameworks (EcoVadis, ISO 14001, ESG reporting).
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a capacity for independent work.
• Exceptional communication skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive mindset.
• Proficiency in both German and English.
