Role Overview:
The Project Lead Data Architect will be responsible for implementing a cohesive data solution to support a significant enterprise initiative. This role involves overseeing architectural governance and providing guidance through both formal and informal interactions with technical teams involved in the project.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project architecture deliverables, transition responsibilities to technical leads, and engage in design and implementation processes while documenting technical challenges.
- Collaborate across various teams to create and document architectural outputs, including solution approach documents, architecture decisions, and application roadmaps.
- Facilitate sessions to gather business requirements and lead architecture design discussions to present potential solutions.
- Accountable for the architecture, design, and execution of end-to-end solutions for projects or programs that support specific business lines or infrastructure domains.
- Act as a subject matter expert in IT systems architecture.
- Manage complex projects that necessitate specialized technical knowledge.
- Make informed decisions regarding intricate or unclear IT architecture challenges.
- Engage with users to ascertain requirements.
- Ensure successful implementation and monitoring of system enhancements to boost efficiency.
- Establish and communicate a unified goal and direction for the team.
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Oversee project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years in Data Architecture
- At least 8 years of experience in team leadership
- 8 years of experience in data integration and provisioning
- 8 years of experience in Data Warehouse architecture
- 8 years of experience in Lead Architecture roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience with Big Data Architecture solutions
- Familiarity with Retirement Solutions Business
- Ability to influence and guide others
