Data Scientist Internship Opportunity

Your Mission

This internship provides you with the opportunity to become part of our Asset Allocation Team with a focus on data science for quantitative investment strategies. Our team identifies relative performance opportunities in international multi-asset markets for tactical portfolio decisions. By applying machine learning to asset pricing problems, we discover non-linear relationships between the macroeconomic environment, market sentiment, and systemic risk.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and continuously enhance our cutting-edge, ML-based, systematic investment strategies as part of our Asset Allocation Team
  • Contribute to the further development and implementation of our hypothesis-driven research agenda along key building blocks (data, transformations, models, targets) relevant for product performance
  • Collaborate with senior quant finance and machine learning experts
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python
Your Skillset
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Economics/Finance with a quantitative focus
  • Solid knowledge of data analytics in Python and corresponding state-of-the-art tools and frameworks
  • Experience in working with data, building quantitative models, and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles and a commitment to developing high-quality code that aligns with industry best practices
  • Proactive and independent workstyle
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working in a team environment
  • Passion for quantitative investing
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, good communication skills
  • Bonus: Proficiency with Git, the distributed version control system that's integral to collaborative coding endeavors
