About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indirect Tax Specialist to join our Tax Services team at Essity. As an Indirect Tax Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, validation, and submission of indirect tax reporting filings and requirements for our legal entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, validate, and submit all indirect tax reporting filings and requirements for applicable legal entities, maintaining accurate records and information.
  • Manage corrections, payments, and VAT refunds, as well as reconcile VAT accounts.
  • Support the indirect tax business partner and other stakeholders with input and requested information/data, participating in tax audits and relevant projects.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for indirect tax-related inquiries, escalating issues to the indirect tax reporting manager and business partner as needed.
  • Conduct tax training for AP and AR teams, in collaboration with the indirect tax reporting manager and business partner, and ensure relevant processes and guidelines are followed.
  • Participate in projects related to the implementation of solutions to fulfill indirect tax requirements in SAP and other relevant tools.
Requirements
  • University degree in tax, economics, or business, or equivalent with relevant practice.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience within indirect tax and knowledge in indirect tax reporting, especially in the DACH region.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured approach, flexibility, and openness to change.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, and experience with financial reporting systems.
  • Strong English language skills (German language skills a plus) and ability to travel when circumstances allow.
