Project Financial Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW

Key Responsibilities- Take the initiative in developing and maintaining project budgets alongside project leaders, challenge assumptions, and track actual performance against the budget.
- Oversee and manage essential project processes and documentation (including compliance, procurement, subcontracts, audits, insurance, and project risks).
- Ensure timely delivery of project outcomes for monthly and quarterly reporting, including financial forecasts.
- Gather, monitor, and evaluate pertinent financial and project data to uncover opportunities for enhancement and identify trends.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to design, implement, and refine procedures and processes aimed at boosting efficiency.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide insights and recommendations for improvement in areas such as finance, taxation, compliance, and contracts.
- Communicate the financial department's requirements to colleagues lacking financial expertise, and vice versa.
- Report within our matrix structure to the Country Business Controller and department head.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, focusing on Controlling, Business Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in project controlling, preferably within an engineering or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of legal frameworks (VOB A/B and HOAI) and Claim Management.
- Proficient in negotiation and contract formulation.
- Hands-on approach with analytical capabilities and a keen interest in economic matters and project risks.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and possessing excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
