Operations Director

We're a pioneering company on a mission to revolutionize the speciality coffee experience by making it more affordable, digital, and convenient. Our goal is to bring back the human touch while leveraging the personalization and convenience that modern consumers have come to expect from digital businesses.
As a small but agile team, we're serving high-quality coffees out of our stores in Berlin. We're now seeking a highly skilled Operations Director to join our team in Berlin Mitte and work closely with our Co-Founder & CEO.
Key Responsibilities- Store Operations: Oversee all aspects of store operations, including staffing, sales, financial management, and customer satisfaction.
- Commercial Initiatives: Drive sales and profitability through effective cost management, upselling strategies, and promotional initiatives.
- Training and Development: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by coaching, training, and developing team members.
- Supplier Management: Negotiate, set up contracts, and ensure quality vs price standards are met.
- Controlling and Budgeting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including P&L statements and budget forecasts, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Customer Operations: Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- At least 7 years of operational experience in retail F&B, preferably with a mix of retail food and beverage chains at an international level. Experience in the coffee industry is a significant plus.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to explore new locations and meet with potential partners.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, solution-oriented mindset, and excitement to work on the full-cycle of building a start-up.
- Creative flair and ability to spot growth opportunities, ideate, test, and fail fast within tight deadlines and budget constraints.
- Fluency in English, with German being a strong plus.
