Position: Chief Officer - Vessel Operations Manager

The Chief Officer - Vessel Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of the crew and ensuring the well-being of the vessel and its cargo. This includes, but is not limited to, the safe transportation of cargo, organization of deck operations, and voyage management. The Chief Officer will assist the master in ensuring the vessel complies with all relevant regulatory bodies and maintain a good working relationship with the crew, evaluating their performance at the end of each trip.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the crew and ensure the vessel's safety and efficiency
  2. Coordinate deck operations and ensure the safe transportation of cargo
  3. Assist the master in ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies
  4. Evaluate crew performance and provide feedback
  5. Develop and implement vessel management strategies to improve efficiency and safety

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vessel operations and management, with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Chief Officer on a DP2 vessel. They will also possess a safety-driven approach to all tasks on board the vessel and be able to work effectively in a dynamic and global environment.

Requirements:

  1. Chief Officer unlimited certificate of competency
  2. GMDSS unlimited certificate
  3. Ability to act as the ship's Safety Officer as and when required
  4. Minimum 1 year experience as Chief Officer on board AHTS DP2 Vessel
  5. DPO unlimited certificate
  6. All sea-related certificates up to date
