About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our Berlin-based team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH. As a key member of our Fire TV organization, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing features on Fire TV devices, spanning all types (TVs, Sticks, Cubes, and others).

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of features on Fire TV devices, focusing on improving the daily experience of millions of customers.
  • Participate in Agile development with complete team ownership of the scope and domain.
  • Design, implement, and deliver features on the Fire TV Android codebase.
About the Team

We are the Fire TV organization's Berlin branch, with a team of 40+ members owning both client and service implementations for a number of domain areas. Our team is managed and supported by a Berlin-based leadership team, and we are responsible for the roadmap we deliver to Fire TV for worldwide-spanning features.

Requirements
  • Experience in professional software development.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
