GOÄ Fee Specialist

About the Role
As a GOÄ Fee Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and compliant billing practices within our organization. You will be responsible for interpreting and applying fee regulations, managing performance cases, and providing expert guidance to our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze fee-related matters, commission expert opinions, handle objections, and develop audit guidelines.
- Monitor updates and amendments to the GOÄ across all relevant areas.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of our case management system and promote best practices in performance management.
- Manage performance cases, provide performance commitments, and initiate payments.
- Offer professional advice to our staff on GOÄ fee regulations.
- Communicate effectively with doctors and our clients through written and verbal correspondence.
Qualifications
- Completed training as an insurance and finance clerk or a similar qualification, or alternatively, a medical assistant specializing in fee regulations.
- Several years of experience in the private health insurance sector is highly desirable.
- Strong medical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of GOÄ fee regulations and doctor billing guidelines.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach with a passion for driving positive change.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to remain calm in challenging situations, persuade effectively using targeted arguments, and demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
