About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at EagleBurgmann. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for selected companies within the EagleBurgmann Group.
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Post monthly/ongoing provisions and accruals, as well as other matters relevant to the financial statements.
- Conduct ongoing tax controls on incoming and outgoing invoices, routine tax checks, and VAT assessments of our supply chains.
- Prepare advance VAT returns and annual returns, as well as summary and statistical reports.
- Serve as the primary contact for selected accounting and procedural issues, maintaining regular communication with our subsidiaries worldwide.
- Ensure process documentation and internal controls within your area of responsibility are up-to-date and compliant.
- As a process expert for the Record-to-Report area, continuously develop and improve existing processes and tools, and lead projects within your area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Several years of relevant professional experience in General Ledger Accounting, preferably with experience supporting or leading accounting-related projects.
- Strong knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) - ideally SAP S/4 HANA.
- Deep understanding of operational accounting processes, particularly in the Record-to-Report area.
- Independent and autonomous work style.
- Structured, solution-oriented, and reliable work approach.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English.
