Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical planning and support for offshore wind initiatives, both from the office and on-site.
  • Conduct exploratory trips and occasional deployments to offshore sites to oversee and assist in project execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for offshore wind ventures.
  • Formulate and implement work preparations along with technical strategies.
  • Detail technical and logistical processes and method statements from conception to completion.
  • Assess various solutions concerning cost, timeline, and technical risks.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and quality benchmarks in offshore wind projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate successful project delivery.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Review calculations and technical documents, identifying any gaps or inconsistencies relevant to the project.
  • Identify and evaluate technical risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project advancement and initiate corrective measures as required.

Qualifications:

  • A completed degree in engineering, ideally with a focus on offshore, renewable energy, naval architecture, or mechanical engineering.
  • Extensive experience in project planning and work preparation within the offshore wind sector.
  • Thorough understanding of standards, regulations, and quality expectations in the offshore industry, particularly in Europe and Germany.
  • Proven experience in the technical planning and execution of offshore projects.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Willingness to undertake exploratory trips and occasional offshore assignments.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capability to identify and assess technical risks and opportunities in projects.
  • Understanding of cost drivers and their implications on overall project budgets.
  • A proactive and solution-focused work ethic.
