Established in 2017, Unit8 is a rapidly expanding Swiss consultancy focused on AI and data analytics, committed to addressing intricate challenges faced by traditional sectors such as automotive, chemicals, finance, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking a (Senior) Consultant to enhance our expanding Data & AI Consulting Practice. The purpose of this practice is to collaborate with our data scientists and engineers, providing clients with a comprehensive data and AI consulting service that spans from technical operations to strategic concepts. You will have the chance to engage in cutting-edge data, AI, and analytics projects with our clients, participating in the entire lifecycle from business development and pre-sales to project execution and client relationship management. You will play a pivotal role in scaling the Data & AI consulting practice at Unit8.
Your Responsibilities
Your role will evolve based on the challenges faced by our clients and our internal needs. Generally, you will:
- Engage with clients to comprehend their data-related challenges and the associated technological and business inquiries they need to address.
- Advise clients on their journey to becoming data-driven organizations, which includes evaluating their data and machine learning maturity, identifying data-driven opportunities, outlining an impactful implementation roadmap, providing guidance on data and model governance, developing target operating models for analytics organizations, and benchmarking various analytics tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with our data scientists, engineers, and IT architects to implement impactful data-driven solutions and machine learning applications.
- Work closely with the head of our Data & AI Consulting practice as part of a small, high-performing team to co-develop growth strategies and concepts for new data and AI consulting services.
- Contribute to business development by preparing for and participating in industry conferences, workshops, and client sales meetings.
- Assist in the creation of white papers and thought leadership content on data science and AI-related subjects.
Qualifications
You Should Have:
Essential:
- Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
- 1-6 years of experience in a reputable management consultancy at the intersection of business and technology.
- Experience in both technical and strategic client projects related to data, AI, and analytics.
- A proven ability to quickly identify and prioritize business challenges, offering innovative and relevant solutions during client projects or in business development.
- Possession of an EU passport or a valid EU/EFTA work permit.
Desirable:
- Proficient in building enduring relationships with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with the Swiss business environment and ideally possessing an existing network of decision-makers.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, business, mathematics, or natural sciences.
- Willingness to travel (on average no more than 40%, primarily within Switzerland, with some opportunities across Europe, mainly Germany and France).
