Scientist in Agricultural Systems Modelling

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our research group in Agricultural Systems Modelling. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable and resilient horticulture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop process-based mathematical models of agricultural systems
  • Conduct simulation studies to optimize resource use and environmental impact
  • Collaborate with international partners on the EU Horizon Europe project EcoNutri
  • Supervise students and contribute to the coordination of the project
  • Communicate research findings through scientific publications and presentations
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant field with emphasis on systems modelling
  • Strong background in process-based mathematical modelling of crop production systems
  • Experience in systems modelling and programming in Matlab
  • Knowledge of life cycle assessment and SimaPro
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
