AWS Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH - C92. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure, including AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy cloud-based solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation, processes, and tools to ensure operational efficiency and excellence.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24x7 support for cloud infrastructure issues.
You will be part of the Utility Computing (UC) team, which provides innovative cloud services and features to customers worldwide. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with talented engineers, and contribute to the development of cloud infrastructure.
Requirements- Experience maintaining software systems or related fields.
- Experience with monitoring frameworks such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic, or similar.
- Solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.
- Experience decomposing complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions.
- Experience proactively solving problems before they occur.
- Familiarity operating services in AWS.
- Experience actively mentoring junior engineers.
- Familiarity in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Ruby to automate tasks.
- Familiarity across common technology domain areas, such as hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.
