Position Overview

At Workday GmbH, our Account Executives play a pivotal role within our Field Sales team.

The Customer Base sales unit leverages their deep expertise and consultative selling abilities to initiate and enhance sales of Workday Solutions among our existing clientele.

This dedicated group of professionals is essential in fostering additional business opportunities within strategically identified accounts.

As a cohesive unit, we prioritize collaborating with our clients to develop tailored solutions that provide enduring value. Ensuring our clients' satisfaction from the outset and maintaining it over time is our utmost goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with current clients, focusing on upselling through effective deal management.
  • Conduct account planning for designated clients, aligning with pre-sales and other teams to ensure strategic coherence.
  • Drive the business of Workday solutions through strategic add-ons and renewals within Large Enterprise clients.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Workday's internal teams, including pre-sales, digital, value & bid management, marketing, and sales support.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Approximately 8+ years of experience in selling SaaS/Cloud solutions to C-level executives from a field sales perspective.
  • Proven track record in negotiating deals with various C-Suite Executives to successfully close opportunities.
  • Experience in cultivating relationships with existing clients for additional or incremental business.
  • Ability to develop long-term strategic account plans with current clients.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing extended deal cycles exceeding 6 months, involving substantial deal sizes.
  • In-depth understanding of the competitive landscape within the industry, staying informed about trends and client needs to effectively position Workday solutions.
  • Experience in collaborating with internal team members on account strategies.
  • Familiarity with ERP, HCM, Financial, Planning, or Analytics solutions.
