Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Analyst

Materna-Gruppe is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Cyber Defense Center team. As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the IT security of our customers by analyzing potential risks and implementing effective countermeasures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on security incidents to identify and analyze them, and initiate or recommend suitable measures.
  • Analyze complex security incidents and track the individual steps taken by attackers using your in-depth technical knowledge.
  • Define standardized procedures and coordinate them with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows or activities through automation and support their implementation.
  • Take on tasks as part of customer onboarding to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Support service development in the Cyber Defense Center and drive the continuous increase in its maturity level.
Requirements:
  • A successfully completed degree with a focus on IT/engineering and several years of professional experience in the IT security environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of common TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) of attackers and approaches to recognizing them.
  • Experience in handling and knowledge of common security tools and solutions, such as SIEM, EDR, NDR, and IDS/IPS systems and solutions.
  • Profound knowledge of common operating systems, network infrastructures, and IT architectures (on-prem and cloud).
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 Defender Suite and the Elastic Security solution, as well as corresponding certifications, are an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset, solution-oriented, and structured way of working, as well as a confident manner towards customers.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English (C1) and basic knowledge of German.
