Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Circunomics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, maintainable, and efficient applications using Python 3, FastAPI, or Flask. Your expertise in big data management, ETL processes, and data visualization will enable us to optimize our data handling and processing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Scalable Applications: Utilize Python 3, FastAPI, or Flask to design, develop, and deploy scalable applications that meet our business requirements.
  • Big Data Management: Manage and process large datasets starting from terabytes with precision and efficiency.
  • ETL Processes: Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to ensure efficient data handling throughout its lifecycle.
  • Data Visualization: Create data visualizations using Plotly to help our stakeholders understand complex data insights.
  • Cloud Deployment: Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud platforms, including S3, ECR, EKS, RDS, and EFS.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, particularly with Python 3, FastAPI, or Flask, and optional familiarity with Angular.
  • Big Data Management: Deep knowledge in managing (near) real-time big data environments, dealing with datasets starting from terabytes.
  • ETL Processes: Proficient in implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, ensuring effective and efficient data handling throughout its lifecycle.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
