Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team in Munich. As a key member of our steering system development team, you will be responsible for managing steering system concept proposals, function development, performance matching, part specification, calibration strategies, and objective and subjective assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage steering system concepts, including function definition, system development, hardware development, and controller algorithm modeling.
- Lead the development of steering by wire technical insights, concept analysis, function definition, system development, hardware development, and software development.
- Manage steering system development procedures, tools, and software review.
- Effectively solve steering system engineering issues to ensure qualified deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in automotive, mechanical, or automation engineering.
- Experience in steering system development, with a deep understanding of development processes, requirement analysis, performance matching, steering gear, steering column, hardware development, controlling strategy, controlling algorithm, software development, and steering by wire experience.
- Knowledge of steering system regulations, standards, function safety, and system integration with VCU and autonomous driving systems.
- Proficiency in engineering tools, including CANOE/CANalyzer, VBOX, Matlab/Simulink, CarMaker, and C/C++.
- Driving license is mandatory, and proving ground calibration competence is a plus.
- Fluent communication skills in English, with German and/or Chinese language knowledge an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to China up to 25% of the time.
