Logistics Program Coordinator

Objective: Oversee and guide logistical operations within the APS-2 program. This role is pivotal in managing inventory and ensuring the readiness of Government assets. The position entails maintaining asset visibility by unit and type, integrating and managing data and reports, and collaborating with the 405th AFSBn-Germany Accountable Officer to guarantee that property and equipment are prepared for re-issue to units.
Reporting Positions: This role supervises Supply Supervisors, Logistics Management Analysts, Accountability Analysts, Supply Technician Leads, Supply Technicians, Warehouse Workers, Laborers, Movement Control Drivers, Material Coordinator - Truck Driver ADR Leads, Production Control Clerks, and General Reports Clerks.
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Generate comprehensive reports utilizing the Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A).
- Conduct research through GCSS-A, manage receipt processing, inventory adjustments, and equipment receipts from the Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), and create Material Release Orders (MROs).
- Analyze data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and metrics, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately.
- Manage resources effectively to achieve mission objectives.
- Enforce adherence to technical data and management protocols.
- Initiate management actions to address new workloads or rectify reported deficiencies.
- Process Inventory Adjustment Reports (IARs) accurately for review and approval.
- Draft and comprehend External and Internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain 100% accountability for all assigned APS-2 equipment, ensuring accurate reflection in the Logistics Information System (LIS).
- Conduct item research in GCSS-A and other LIS, including frustrated items.
- Correct discrepancies in documentation and relevant LIS data, promptly reporting errors to the Supply Manager.
- Ensure all personnel are informed of and adhere to Company and Government policies, procedures, and directives.
- Engage professionally with senior management in decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with supply personnel to fulfill all required tasks.
- Provide timely and relevant information to the Supply Manager and/or Government personnel as needed.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics for the department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience: The following qualifications are required:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Comprehensive knowledge of military regulations, policies, and procedures is essential.
- Prior military supply experience (Army MOS: 92Y/920A or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues, and recommend improvements to service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are necessary.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills for conducting meetings, evaluating plans, and preparing reports.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Formal training in GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry equivalent 40-hour course.
- Completion of internal APS-2 GCSS-A training within 60 days of hire.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
- Must meet and maintain all LIS access requirements (Common Access Card).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a US Passport.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of operations, logistics, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, exhibiting a professional demeanor.
Additional Requirements:
1) Licenses and Certifications:
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Formal training in GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry equivalent 40-hour course.
2) Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.
- Must be able to work long hours, including overtime as required.
3) Work Environment:
This position typically operates in an office environment with no unusual hazards, primarily involving sitting and constant communication. Mental alertness, planning, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work under deadlines. There may be a requirement to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of management.
