Your Role and Responsibilities

Are you passionate about digital transformation? So are we As an IoT Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital services and IoT initiatives:

  • Design and implement innovative IoT solutions utilizing AWS and cloud-native technologies, deploying them through CloudFormation (CDK), Terraform, and Helm. Your primary focus will be on IoT infrastructure and edge devices.
  • Integrate our edge solutions with cloud services.
  • Collaborate with the software development team on proof of concepts (PoCs) throughout the phases of data collection, transmission, and storage of sensor signals, either through active development or advisory support.
  • Manage infrastructure deployment and be well-versed in release strategies such as Blue-Green deployments, Canary testing, A/B testing, and feature toggles.

Your Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with modern cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS. An AWS Associate-level certification is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core, AWS IoT Greengrass, AWS Lambda, AWS Kinesis, and other relevant AWS services or comparable IoT services from other major providers.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, ideally with CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with message and event brokers (AWS IoT Hub MQTT, AWS Eventbridge, AWS SQS).
  • Experience in managing and orchestrating containers using Kubernetes and AWS EKS is a plus.
  • Comfortable with Python programming.
  • Experienced with a DevOps platform (preferably Azure DevOps or GitHub) and familiar with CI/CD/CT processes.
  • Some experience or a strong interest in IoT solutions within the machinery sector.
  • A proactive approach to learning new technologies and a structured work style.
  • A drive to continuously enhance your solutions.
  • A collaborative team player with an agile mindset, eager to tackle complex challenges.
  • Fluent in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
