Database Systems Engineer / IT Consultant – MySQL / MariaDB Databases

In the role of Database Systems Engineer / IT Consultant with a focus on MySQL and MariaDB databases, you will take charge of managing both immediate and long-term IT initiatives. This encompasses everything from the presales stage to crafting technical solutions and facilitating their operational implementation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on the selection, implementation, and enhancement of MySQL and MariaDB database solutions
  • Assessing and strategizing existing infrastructures for database system upgrades and migrations
  • Performing data and performance evaluations to guarantee a seamless and effective database environment
  • Establishing monitoring and maintenance protocols for database systems

Your qualifications:

  • Completed education in IT or a related field in System Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Informatics
  • Fundamental knowledge of Linux, UNIX, or Windows operating systems
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing MySQL / MariaDB database systems
  • Familiarity with high availability solutions such as Galera Cluster and InnoDB Cluster
  • Preferred knowledge of MySQL / MariaDB databases and cloud fundamentals
  • Strong collaborative spirit and ability to solve problems independently
  • High level of customer focus and organizational capabilities
  • Effective communication skills in German (C1 level or higher) and English (B2 level or higher) with a willingness to travel
